Maynard Webb - Chairman

As Chairman, Maynard brings almost 30 years of experience developing and leading high-growth companies to his role at LiveOps. From December 20, 2006 to July 18, 2011, Maynard was also LiveOps CEO. He joined LiveOps from eBay where he served as Chief Operating Officer. At eBay, Maynard directed engineering and technology operations, product development, customer support, trust and safety, global billing, human resources, and legal functions. Prior to eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Gateway, Inc. He has also held management and leadership positions at Bay Networks, Quantum Corporation, Thomas-Conrad Corporation and IBM. A respected member of the Silicon Valley technology community, Maynard sits on the boards of several successful companies, including Salesforce.com, Admob and Baynote. Maynard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.

Bill Trenchard

With over a dozen years of experience as an internet entrepreneur, Bill offers an expert perspective in his role as a LiveOps board member. Previously, Bill was CEO of LiveOps from January 2004 until December 2006 and was co-founder and CEO of CallCast, a revolutionary call routing technology firm that merged with LiveOps in 2003. Prior to CallCast, Bill was a managing director at idealab!, where he served portfolio companies in capacities ranging from a board member to interim CEO. Bill also founded and served as CEO of Jump Networks, Inc., which was acquired by Microsoft Corporation in April 1999. Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in science and technology studies from Cornell University.

Bob L. Corey

Bob brings more than 30 years of executive and financial management experience to the LiveOps Board of Directors, where he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee.  Most recently, he served as interim CEO and EVP& Chief Financial Officer for Extreme Networks, a publicly listed company that designs, builds and installs Ethernet solutions for network connectivity and IP-based communications.  He was also on the Board of Directors at Extreme Networks, from 2003 to 2009, where he was the chairman of the audit committee. Prior to Extreme Networks, Bob held a variety of executive positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Thor Technologies, Inc. and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Documentum, Inc. Earlier in his career, Bob held senior financial executive positions with Forte Software, Ashton-Tate Corporation and Western Digital Corporation. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Interwoven, Inc. until its acquisition by Autonomy Corporation plc,.  Bob is currently a member of joined the Board of Directors at Apigee Corporation where he also serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Bob holds a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting from California State University at Fullerton and earned his CPA certificate while at Arthur Andersen & Co earlier in his career.

Douglas Carlisle

Doug has served as a Director of LiveOps since December 2003. He is currently a managing partner at Menlo Ventures and joined the organization in 1982. At Menlo, Doug focuses primarily on early-stage communications and software companies. He has also worked as a design engineer at ROLM Corporation. His recent investments and board seats include: Appshop, ePac, Expand Beyond, FutureTrade Technologies, GoDigital Networks, IntelliDOT, IronPort Systems, LiveOps, nLight Photonics, Open Solutions and ProfitLine. His prior investments and board seats include: Carrier Access Corporation (CACS); Cyras Systems, acquired by CIENA Corp. (CIEN); Efficient Networks (EFNT); Hotmail, acquired by Microsoft (MSFT); Kalpana, acquired by Cisco (CSCO); printCafe Software (PCAF); and Pyxis. Doug is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (BS in Electrical Engineering), Stanford University Graduate School of Business (MBA) and Stanford University Law School (JD).

Ryan D. Downs

Ryan has served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations of eBay ebay since September 2007. In that role, he is responsible for consumer service, merchant service, and risk operations, among other functions. Ryan joined PayPal paypal in December 2001 as Vice President of Operations and served in that capacity until 2007. From June 2000 to December 2001, he served as Chief Executive Officer for eTopia Technologies, Inc., an Omaha-based IT consulting firm. Before that, Ryan was a partner at the law firm of Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott in Denver, Colorado, where he specialized in complex commercial litigation. Ryan holds a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences in 1991 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1994.

Marty Beard

President, Chief Executive Officer of LiveOps Marty is a seasoned executive who has demonstrated his ability to identify untapped market opportunities and deliver solutions that dynamically enhance the customer experience.  Before LiveOps, he served as President of Sybase 365, a $250M subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (an SAP company). Under his leadership, the division grew 150% and helped advance Sybase's position as the global leader in enterprise mobility.  Sybase's Enterprise Mobility success has been viewed as a major reason for SAP's $5.8B acquisition of Sybase in July, 2010. He currently serves as a board member for Harris Interactive, widely known for the Harris Poll. He served on the board of directors for CTIA-The Wireless Association while at Sybase 365. He actively participates in public policy advocacy on issues affecting the wireless industry, such as standards, telecommunications regulation and consumer protection. Marty obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in rhetoric and history. He also holds an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
